We, the members of the Wayne Township Police Department, exist to serve all people within our jurisdiction, regardless of race, color, sex, religious creed, national origin, or sexual orientation, with respect, fairness, and compassion. We are committed to the prevention of crime and the protection of life and property; the preservation of peace, order and safety; the enforcement of laws and ordinances; and the safeguarding of constitutional guarantees. The Wayne Police Department, under the command of Chief Jack McNiff, and is located in the municipal complex at 475 Valley Road.

The department is made up of 3 divisions: Patrol, Investigations, and Operations. Each Division is supervised by a Captain and each Captain reports directly to the Chief of Police.

The Office of the Chief of Police consists of the Chief, an office Secretary, Internal Affairs Unit, and Policy Manager.
