Wayne Alliance

alliance01

Our mission is to provide tools intended to educate the public and provide insight into the necessary skills that will enhance understanding of the benefits resulting from making healthy drug-free choices.

The Wayne Alliance envisions a healthy community committed to educating children, young adults, and senior citizens in the benefits of living a healthy drug-free lifestyle.

Created in 1990, the Wayne Alliance is dedicated to the promotion of safe, healthy, and responsible lifestyles through:

  • Prevention
  • Intervention
  • Education
Comprised of volunteers from the community, the Alliance seeks to identify alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) problems, unify the community and become a force for change.

Serving Wayne residents for over 20 years, the Alliance continues to act as the official coordinating body for planning, awareness, and prevention education efforts on abuse of ATOD. Working toward a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free community is our goal.

No one is comfortable learning about the troubles that plague their community. At the same time, it is unrealistic to expect most children to get through adolescence without ever encountering drugs. However, effective communication and education can help a town to overcome the most challenging problems.

Parents are powerful.
You can make a difference.
Talk to your child about alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.

The Wayne Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse holds its public meetings the third Wednesday of every month at noon in Health Room #2 of the Wayne Township Municipal Building, 475 Valley Road, Wayne, N.J. 07470.  The public is invited to attend.

Do you have tips to share with your community? Want to help the public learn healthy lifestyle choices?
