Garden Plots for Wayne Community Garden
Garden plots for the Wayne Community Garden located at 533 Berdan Avenue, on the grounds of the Van Riper Hopper House Museum, are available to the public. All gardeners are limited to one plot per household prior to April 14, 2023.
March 1 – March 31, 2023 - All returning gardeners have first opportunity to purchase their previous year's garden plot.
April 1 – April 13, 2023 – All Garden plots are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis.
April 14, 2023 - Additional plots may be purchased at this time.
Plots are $20.00 for the season and can be purchased at the Parks and Recreation office located at the Municipal Complex at 475 Valley Road. Registration will remain open until all plots are taken.
During the 2023 season, the Community Garden will be open from dawn to dusk each day between April 3 and November 14, 2023. Gates must be kept closed and locked up whenever the Gardener is the last to leave at any time during the day.
Cultivation and planting can be started on April 3, 2023, and plots must be tended through the time of fall cleanup which will be completed no later than November 14, 2023.
